Elderly Man Killed After Pickup Truck Overturns In New KentVirginia State Police (Source: NBC12 File photo) NEW KENT, VA (WWBT) –

A elderly man has died in a single-car crash along a New Kent roadway Saturday afternoon. According to Virginia State Police Sgt. Stephan Vick, 86-year-old Calvin Martin of Lanexa died after his 2012 Ford ranger truck overturned along Rockahock Road, approximately a half-mile east of South Waterside Drive, just before 3 p.m. Saturday. Investigators say Martin was leaving his home when his truck went down the hill in front of his home, crossed over Rockahock Road and struck an embankment, causing it to overturn, partially ejecting the elderly driver.

Martin died at the scene.

Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation
