Toronto Tow Truck Driver Facing Attempted Murder And Weapons Charges

A Toronto man is facing a number of charges including one of attempted murder following an altercation involving a gun in Vaughan. York Regional police say investigators were called to the area of Freshway Drive and Costa Road after gunshots were heard, around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. They arrived at an impound lot to find the victim who indicated there had been an incident involving the male suspect.

It s alleged the tow truck driver pulled out a gun and began firing at the victim who was not injured. The suspect then left the area, but was tracked down to the Highway 400 and Highway 7 area shortly afterwards. Jeffrey Barker was arrested without incident.

The 32 year old is also facing several weapons charges.
