Two cars and lorry in crash on A9 south of Aviemore

Two cars and a lorry have been involved in the collision in an area of road works on the A9 south of Aviemore. A man has been airlifted to hospital, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said. Emergency services were alerted to the crash at about 15:20.

Police said traffic was being diverted. Road works are being carried out along a five mile (8km) stretch of the A9 between Kincraig and Dalraddy to upgrade the road to dual carriageway. Police Scotland said traffic was being diverted on to the B9152 until further notice.

Traffic Scotland[1] said the A9 was closed in both directions around the scene of the accident.
