2 semi truck drivers killed in head-on collision
Two semi drivers were killed in a head-on collision Saturday near New Town. The North Dakota Highway Patrol said the driver of a frac sand semi and the driver of a crude oil semi were traveling on opposite lanes of the Highway 23 bypass. Both trucks were rounding a curve in the road when the frac sand semi entered the opposite lane and the trucks collided head-on.
The crude oil semi jack-knifed in the road and started on fire. Both vehicles burned completely, according to Highway Patrol. The names of the drivers haven’t been released, pending identification.
The crash remains under investigation.
