Alta. RCMP searching for Warman man missing nearly a year

Alberta RCMP continue to search for a long-haul truck driver nearly a year after the Warman man disappeared. Donald “Donny” Sayers, 55, was last seen near Swan Hills, Alta. on May 22, 2016. The truck he was driving, a dark blue Dodge Ram, was found abandoned on Highway 32 near Whitecourt on May 22.

RCMP conducted ground and air searches where the vehicle was found. Sayers’ personal car, a black Ford Mustang, was found at a hotel in Slave Lake on May 26 – the same day a friend reported the Warman man missing. The long-haul truck driver regularly travels between Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

RCMP said his disappearance is out of character. Sayers is described by police as being five feet eleven inches tall with a medium build, grey hair and brown eyes. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about Sayers’ whereabouts is asked to contact Swan Hills RCMP at 780-333-4450 or local police.

Crime Stoppers can be reached anonymously by phone at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online or by text.[1][2]

Swan Hills is located around 220 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
