Pedestrian seriously injured after being knocked over by lorry
A man has been left with serious injuries after being knocked over by a HGV lorry close to a landmark Aldridge hotel. Paramedics were called to Little Aston Road at around 3.30am on Wednesday morning close to the Fairlawns Hotel and gave emergency treatment to a man. He was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries where his condition is described as critical.
Police closed the road for a number of hours. It reopened just after 8am. A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: “The 54-year-old driver of the lorry has been helping police with their enquiries.
Anyone with information can call the collision investigation unit on 101.”
