Crash between lorry and car closes two lanes on A2 near Bluewater

All lanes have reopened following a crash on the A2 which saw one man suffer injuries to his leg.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene of a crash involving a lorry and a car near the junction for Bean on the coastbound carriageway on Wednesday morning. Two lanes were blocked by the crash, but delays are now clearing. A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called to a collision, reported to involve a lorry and a car, on the A2 coastbound at 10.42am on Wednesday May 17.

“The South East Coast Ambulance service was also called and one man is reported to have sustained a leg injury.

“The collision has partially blocked the carriageway and officers are at the scene, as are highways crews.

We have approached Secamb for comment.
