Kittens in quarantine after hitching ride on back of lorry

A fundraising appeal has been launched for four kittens who hitched a ride from Poland to Northampton. The two-week-old cats are now in quarantine after travelling 1,000 miles on the back of a lorry. Named after ABBA stars Bj?rn, Benny, Agnetha and Anni-Frid, they have been picked up by the RSPCA and are in quarantine via Trading Standards.

They are expected to be there for up to four months, costing the RSPCA’s Northamptonshire branch around ?2,500. The money fundraised will go towards boarding, ID chips, release forms, rabies vaccinations, pet passports, bloods, worming and flea treatment. Once the kittens are ready, they will be available for rehoming.

To donate, text ‘MEOW17’ plus the amount to 70070.
