Pedestrian ‘critical’ after being hit by a lorry in Little Aston Road, Aldridge, Walsall
A PEDESTRIAN is described as ‘critical’ after a crash in Walsall early this morning (May 17). Emergency services rushed to the scene in Little Aston Road, Aldridge after the collision between the man and a HGV lorry. It is understood he was taken to a major trauma centre.
West Midlands Police have this morning confirmed: “Police were called to Little Aston Road, Aldridge at around 3.30am this morning (Wednesday, May 17) following a collision between a pedestrian and a HGV. “The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries where his condition is described as critical. Emergency services closed the road for a number of hours.
It reopened just after 8am.
“The 54-year-old lorry driver (a man) has been helping police with their enquiries. Anyone with information can call the collision investigation unit on 101.”
