Truck hits building in Corio

WorkSafe have been notified of a worksite incident in Corio this afternoon that left a truck driver in hospital. Around 1pm, emergency crews attended a ‘steel line construction’ worksite on Heales Road where a truck had smashed into a building. A man in his 40s was assessed at the scene and taken to hospital with no obvious injuries.

There was no entrapment, so no rescue was required. Four CFA trucks in total were at the site today. ***

A truck driver has been taken to hospital after smashing his vehicle into a building in Corio.

Emergency services, including police, CFA and ambulance, were called to Heales Road around 1 this afternoon.

A man in his 40s was assessed at the scene and taken to hospital in a stable condition, with no obvious injuries.

Emergency Victoria has declared the scene ‘safe’.

The cause of the collision is currently unknown.
