Flying Plywood: 2 Cars Damaged, 1 Man Injured In Franklin

FRANKLIN, TN — Plywood, apparently not secured properly, flew off a trailer on Interstate 65 in Franklin Wednesday afternoon, crashing through the windshield of a trailing truck, injuring the driver. Around 2 p.m. Wednesday, several pieces of plywood flew off of a trailer being towed by a white SUV and through the windshield of a box truck.

A second car was damaged by airborne plywood as well. The box truck driver was injured but his condition is unknown. The driver of the SUV hauling the trailer did not stop, though Franklin Police are considering the possibility the driver was unaware of what happened.
