Lorry fire leads to M1 delays

A lorry is on fire on the northbound carriageway of the M1. Derbyshire fire crews are on the scene of the blaze, between Junction 29A and Junction 30, which broke out around 10.30am today (Monday, July 24).

A HGV has caught alight, and although it is on a section of hard shoulder, traffic is being held to allow crews to tackle the fire.

Motorists are being told to expect delays in the area.
