Mystery of woman with unicorn tattoo and engagement ring left unidentified after being killed in lorry crash

A woman with a unicorn tattoo and wearing an engagement ring on her wedding finger has been left unidentified after being killed in a lorry crash. Police[1] are now appealing for anyone who may be aware of a missing woman or can help identify her to come forward. The woman, believed to be in her late 20s, is described as slim, with shoulder-length hair and a tattoo[2] of a unicorn on her left shoulder.

At the time of her death she was wearing jeans, boots, a t-shirt and a ring on her engagement finger.

She died after being hit by a lorry on the A1139 in Peterborough at around 7pm on Sunday. Police have not yet been able to trace any next of kin for the pedestrian. In a statement appealing for help, Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: “Unfortunately, despite our best efforts we have not been able to identify this lady and therefore cannot trace her family to pass on this sad news.”

No arrests have been made in connection with the accident and the driver of the lorry stopped at the scene.
