Semi truck takes out power lines on I-270 in south Columbus, driver hospitalized

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) —

A semi truck driver was hospitalized after his truck took out power lines on I-270 in south Columbus Monday afternoon. According to the Franklin County Sheriff, the truck crashed into the Lockbourne Rd Overpass on I-270, between Alum Creek and US-23.
The FCSO did not specify which direction the semi was traveling.

I-270 WB was closed at US-33 on the southeast side, and I-270 EB was closed at US-23 on the south side.
Lockbourne Bridge was also expected to close. No word was given when the roads would reopen.
