Springfield home, car and RV destroyed in fire

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A house fire on 31st and Olympic started around 7:30 p.m. Friday in Springfield. The house was engulfed in flames as crews dealt with exploding gas containers inside.

They also worked to prevent the fire from spreading to other homes. The house, a car in the driveway, and an RV were all ruled total losses. Fire officials estimated more than £100,000 in damage.

Witnesses said the black smoke cloud be seen from blocks away.

No one was inside when the fire broke out.

Officials say the cause is under investigation.
