WESTCHESTER-A Ozone Park truck driver has been slapped with a felony charge for striking a killing a tow truck driver from Stamford and fleeing the crash last December. Mid-Hudson News.Com reported that Anthony Mangano[1], 49, was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident resulting in death. The accident happened around dawn on December 29, 2016 in Harrison, New York.

Mangano was driving a box truck when he allegedly struck and killed tow truck operator Salvatore Brescia[2], of Stamford, as he was assisting a driver who had broken down on the side of the highway. Mid-Hudson News.Com reported that state investigators determined that Mangano did not stop and that he even drove past the accident scene after police and an ambulance crew had arrived before leaving the area.
