Herts Police Appeal For Witnesses After Fatal Welwyn Garden City Collision

Police investigating a collision in Welwyn Garden City in which one man died are appealing for witnesses and information… The collision occurred on Stanborough Road, near the north entrance to Stanborough Park, at 12.20pm on Wednesday, 2 September. For reasons unknown at this time, a silver Ford Fiesta and a white and grey Iveco Eurocargo breakdown truck were in collision.

The driver of the Fiesta, a man in his 20s, passed away. The driver of the truck suffered slight injuries and was taken to hospital.

PC David Charlton from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the man, and his family and friends at this extremely difficult time.

“As part of our investigations into the collision I am appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to come forward. I would also like to hear from anyone else who may have information about the incident.”
