A12 lorry crash death: New video shows emergency services tackling chaotic scene

Video footage shows the emergency services at the scene of a horror smash on the A12, which killed a lorry driver. The crash happened just before 3.45pm when a HGV lorry came off Coleman’s Bridge and landed on the southbound side of the A12[2], where it then caught fire. The driver, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead shortly afterwards by paramedics.

The incident caused major disruption throughout Wednesday and Thursday morning. The video footage shows firefighters attempting to clear the scene last night.

Drivers are being advised by police that the A12 southbound between junction 25 for Marks Tey and junction 20b for Witham[3] South will be closed until at least lunchtime today (February 9).

Police are investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision and would appeal for anyone who saw what may have happened who has not already contacted poice to contact them on 101.
