Broken down lorry on A38 and two-vehicle collision in Newborough causing issues on Burton roads

A two-vehicle collision and a broken down lorry are causing issues on roads around Burton this morning. A lorry has broken down on the A38 southbound at the B5017 flyover in Shobnall Road. The incident has blocked one lane of the road, which is causing congestion.

A busy route through Newborough has been partially blocked after an accident between a car and a van. The incident occurred in the B5234 Duffield Lane and is causing delays to travelling motorists. Elsewhere across Burton[2] and South Derbyshire[3] there is slow traffic on the A511 Tutbury Road at Longhedge Lane due to temporary traffic lights while roadworks go ahead.

There is also slow traffic on the A514 Swarkestone Road in both directions due to roadworks.
