Car fire on A30 near Jamaica Inn blocks one lane as lorry driver assists

Emergency services are at the scene of a car fire on the A30 which has blocked one lane westbound. A lorry driving is assisting at the scene, just after the turning for Colliford Lake, where an ambulance has just arrived. Fire crews are en route.

There were reports that the car was blocking one lane of the A30 Westbound about a mile before The Jamaica Inn.

Devon and Cornwall Police said they were called just after 1.30pm, where a car was reported to be on fire. “The car has been pulled to the side of the road,” she a spokesman. “The driver is out of the vehicle and a lorry driver is assisting while fire are en route.

An ambulance is on scene and there are no casualties.”
