Chaos for motorists as lorry loses load on busy Longton roundabout

A lorry lost its load on a busy roundabout – causing chaos for motorists tonight. After picking up some metal gates from Mossfield Road, police were called as the load came loose on the roundabout at the top of Anchor Road, in Longton. A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “We received a call at 5.58pm.

A lot of gates were on the lorry and fell off. “The vehicle had picked up its load on Mossfield Road. It went round the roundabout at the top of Anchor Road and lost some of its load.

“Police were still there an hour later to make sure the load was cleared off the roundabout.”
