Chaos on A40 after HGV has tyre blow out and collides with two cars

A lorry suffered a tyre blow out and collided with two cars near a busy Gloucestershire junction this morning. It has happened at Shipton, east of Cheltenham, on the southbound carriageway at around 7am. A police spokesman said earlier: “A HGV has had a tyre blow out and is causing loads of chaos.

[1] “No ambulance has been called so there are no injuries.”

The crash scene has since been cleared and traffic is returning to normal.
