The dreams of a five-year-old boy have come true with a little help from the Veolia bin men. Knowing his passion for lorries, the Veolia team were contacted by Danny’s mother, Charlie Fisk. She said: “He had a lovely time looking around the lorry and meeting the crew, and was very excited.

“We really appreciate that the time was taken by the Council, Veolia and its employees to create such a special memory for a child. “He was given his own Veolia t-shirt and hat like all the other Veolia staff and got to sit in the dustcart alongside the driver.”

Regional director of Veolia, Keith McGurk added: “Our team are also very keen on waste collection vehicles, so we can understand Danny’s interest and excitement.
