‘Horrendous’ delays on M25 due to crash between lorry and car

There are “horrendous” delays and traffic jams on the M25 this evening (Friday) following an earlier crash between a lorry and a car. Our community editor Mark Davison says vehicles are queuing from Junction 7 at Merstham[2] to Junction 5 for the M26 near Sevenoaks, where the collision occurred earlier in the day. Furthermore there is stop-start traffic all the way from Junction 15 on the anti-clockwise carriageway to Cobham services between Junction 10 (Wisley) and 9 (Leatherhead[3]).

READ MORE: This is why there is a slogan over the M25 saying ‘Give peas a chance’[4] On the clockwise section, traffic is at a crawl between Wisley (Junction 10) and the M40 junction. It is the second evening in succession that jams have greatly held up drivers on the anticlockwise section.

To add to the woes of drivers, a car broke down in one lane near Junction 7 at Merstham earlier.
