He was wearing blue jeans, a dark coloured top and brown shoes. Friends have since paid tribute to the “big character” on social media.[7] Roslyn Grady wrote: “I literally can’t believe I’m writing this.

I’m absolutely heartbroken, losing one of my best friends so suddenly is the worst thing I’ve experienced. “Niall Walsh what an absolute treasure you were to my life. Have got so many memories and drunken times with you that I’ll never ever forget.

Dawn Davison, 34, had seen tyre marks on the road following the crash. She said: “It was quite haunting knowing what had happened there. “It’s an awful road.

The road isn’t dangerous, it’s the way people drive. “My heart goes out to the family and I hope they are okay. I would not want him to suffer.

It’s sad when it’s so close to home. Life is too short.” Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and anyone who was travelling in the area between Lincoln and Sudbrooke, on the A158, between 2am and 3.30am to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.
