Owner of Berlin Christmas terror truck faces losing his business and begs for HGV back in emotional appeal

The owner of the truck ploughed into the Berlin Christmas market[1] by a terrorist has begged for the vehicle back — or he’ll face bankruptcy. Ariel Zurawski said the truck and its load were not insured for terror attacks and creditors are holding him liable for losses. The Polish businessman will lose his livelihood and become bankrupt unless German authorities release the truck.

Police in Berlin are still holding the vehicle as evidence in the attack that killed 12 people at the Christmas market in December.[2]

It was carrying 25 tonnes of metal materials for an Austrian construction firm. The beams were delivered last week but had rusted and become unusable, Mr Zurawski said. He added: “I do not even know the full value of the load (construction material), since no one wants to give it to me because it’s a trade secret.

“I really do not know what will happen to me financially.”

Ariel Zurawski, the owner of the truck, is desperate for it back to save his business Soon after the massacre, ISIS released a video of Berlin attacker Anis Amri pledging allegiance to terror leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

“Please do not organise fundraisers for our company. We are also asking for money,” the businessman wrote on Facebook. Mr Zurawski’s cousin Lukasz Urban was the first victim of the sickening massacre.

Terrorist Anis Amri shot him dead and stole his truck.
