A lorry has shed its load of pig guts on a main road in Lincolnshire and drivers are advised to avoid the area. The A52 between Threekingham and Donington is closed and police say it will remain so until at least mid-morning as recovery gets under way. The AA traffic report states: “Road closed due to accident and shed load on A52 Both ways between Mareham Lane and A152 Station Street.

“Will be closed until at least mid morning. Sensors show traffic coping well. Pig guts need clearing from the road.”

It comes after the A15[5] has been closed off in both directions north of Lincoln on February 1.

Lincolnshire Police[6] was called to the scene of the collision shortly after 12.20pm and closed the road at the county boundary and Caenby Corner for recovery of the vehicle which left the road. The lorry was loaded with rolls of paper and bound for Grimsby and a man was arrested on suspicion of driving while over the legal alcohol limit.
