Southeastern trains delayed after lorry hits bridge

Commuters are facing delays this evening after a lorry smashed into a railway bridge. Southeastern trains are being held after the HGV hit the bridge near Sittingbourne. Network Rail are reportedly at the scene investigating the damage.

The train operator says the bridge has been checked and trains can now run over it at normal speed again. However, delays are expected until at last 8pm.
