Man kills wife, commits suicide

An elderly man committed suicide just hours after killing his wife late in the night on Tuesday at Anandbagh under the Malkajgiri police station limits. The couple Lakshmamma and her husband B. Kistaiah, in their 60s, had an argument on Tuesday night.

Kistaiah, who worked as a watchman in a building, got angry and hit and stabbed her to death.

He then called up his son Santosh and told her she died of electric shock.

However, when his son raised doubts, he later went to the fourth floor of the building and hanged to death with a rope, said a police official.
