Two persons, including a 13-year-old girl, were killed when a lorry hit two motorcycles at the Vettuvanam junction on National Highway 48 near Pallikonda on Sunday. According to Pallikonda police, the victims were Janani, a resident of Kumaran Street in Vettuvanam, and Mani (62), a resident of A. Mottur, Ananganallur in Gudiyatham.

Janani and her mother Selvi were riding pillion on her 17-year-old sister’s two-wheeler. The three were travelling from Pasumathur to Vettuvanam when the accident occurred. Mani was also riding a two-wheeler.
