Motorists have been urged to avoid the A90 north of Dundee today after a car struck a lorry parked in a lay-by. Three fire units, along with the heavy rescue unit from Macalpine Road in Dundee, were called to the incident near the junction with the A928 – on the northbound carriageway – just after 6.10am today. Multiple ambulances were sent to the scene.

The condition of those involved is not yet known. The nearside lane of the road has been blocked, but traffic is still managing to get through the road. Motorists are being urged to seek an alternative route if possible.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland is in attendance at a serious road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry that happened at about 6am on the northbound carriageway of the A90 near Tealing. “The nearside lane of the Northbound carriageway is closed at this time whilst inquiries continue. “Motorists should drive with care and should expect delays and queuing traffic.

Please use alternative routes where possible.”
