VIDEO: Girl, 5, and man taken to hospital after lorry landed on car in north-east crash

A young girl and a man were taken to hospital after a lorry landed on a car in a north-east crash The blue Vauxhall Corsa and the blue Scania Tipper lorry collided at around 11.40am near Loch of Skene. The road was closed soon after at the Dunecht junction and the junction with the B9126.
The 44-year-old man driving the Vauxhall Corsa had to be freed from the vehicle by fire fighters.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he is being treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries. A five-year-old girl who was also in the vehicle was also taken to hospital with minor injuries. The lorry driver was uninjured.

The road re-opened around 2.20pm following recovery of the vehicles.

Roads Policing Sergeant Steve Manson said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw either vehicle in the lead-up to the incident, or indeed the collision itself, to please contact Police on 101.”
