Comments (0)[1]

A bridge over the A12 near Witham remains closed almost three days after a lorry crashed through it onto the carriageway, killing the driver in the process. Colemans Bridge is shut for emergency repair work heading eastbound towards Little Braxted after the tragic accident on Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of mechanic Gurdip Johal. Traffic restrictions on the A12 carriageway[2] were finally lifted on Friday evening (January 10) after an extensive operation[3] to move the remains of the lorry container, which contained 26 tonnes of wired batteries.
