Woman seriously injured after being hit by lorry in Oldham- latest updates

A woman was left seriously injured after being hit by a lorry on Thursday afternoon. The A62 in Oldham[1] has been closed in both directions after the collision at about 3pm. The pedestrian was rushed to hospital in a ‘serious condition’, a police spokeswoman said.

The HGV driver stopped at the scene and no arrests were made. The A62 Manchester Road/ Manchester Street has been closed off by police between Edward Street and Chapel Road, near OMC Ford. A police spokeswoman said: “We were called to Manchester Street shortly before 3pm to reports of a crash between a lorry and a woman.

“The woman was taken to hospital in a serious condition. No one has been arrested following the crash.” Police and paramedics are still at the scene following the collision.
