The northbound carriageway of the A12 at the Copdock interchange, near Tesco, is closed due to the incident. Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident just before 6.30am today.

The brigade dispatched three crews, one from Ipswich East and two from Ipswich Princes Street. It is not known at this stage if anyone has been injured as a result of the fire, or what caused it. Traffic is believed to be tailing back to Capel St Mary.
