A12 crash: Man in fighting for his life after car, van and lorry crash

A van driver is in hospital fighting for his life after a serious van, car and lorry crash on the A12 in Chelmsford. Police are appealing for witnesses following the pile-up on the northbound carriageway between junctions 18 for Sandon and 19 for Boreham last night (August 3).
A white Mercedes sprinter van, a silver Ford Mondeo and an HGV were involved in the crash shortly after 10pm.

A woman and a man both in their 60s, who were the driver and passenger in the Mondeo suffered minor injuries and were taken to Chelmsford[2] hospital by ambulance. READ MORE: A12 crash causes chaos at Boreham Interchange as drivers go wrong way up slip road[3] A 40-year-old man, who was the driver of the Mercedes van was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge by air ambulance and is in a critical and potentially life-threatening condition.
