Motorists heading into Lincolnshire[1] could face heavy delays travelling on the A1 after a lorry overturned. Emergency services have descended at J34 A614 Bawtry Road and B6045 Bawtry Road after the vehicle carrying crates of vegetables flipped over at around 3.15am. According to the Inrix travel report, the lorry is said to have been heading northbound when it crossed the central and overturned at the base of the exit slip road in Nottinghamshire.

One lane and the exit slip road southbound have been closed to allow for recovery work meaning tailbacks are expected with reports suggesting this is stretching for up to five miles.

It is not yet known if there have any injuries sustained as a result of the incident.
