Recovery truck driver injured in hit-and-run involving Land Rover

A man was injured in a hit-and-run involving a Land Rover on Tuesday evening, police have revealed. The victim, a man in his 30s, was unloading a vehicle from a recovery truck in Plympton when he was hit by a Land Rover which left the scene.

A police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to a hit-and-run collision in Plympton. The incident happened at around 6.30pm on Tuesday 3 April, near shops on Newnham Road.

“A man in his 30s was unloading a vehicle from a recovery truck when a Land Rover, believed to be dark green or grey in colour collided with him before driving away from the scene.The victim suffered minor injuries to his back.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact police on [email protected] or call 101 quoting Log 370 Tuesday 3 April.”
