Spring Spectacular Postponed To ThursdayFree Access

Al Valerio/Cheshire Herald – Last year was the first time the Recreation Department held a Muck Run at Mixville Park. The Cheshire Recreation Department’s newest edition to their slate of school spring vacation activities has been postponed. The first annual Spring Spectacular was originally scheduled to kick off this morning at 10 a.m., however torrential rain is expected in the area throughout the course of the day, so the event has been moved to Thursday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

It will coincide with the traditional Touch A Truck event, already planned for Thursday morning. The Spring Spectacular will include carnival games, a bounce house, a giant inflatable slide, as well as several games such as Jenga, tug-of-war, and more. There will also be events planned at the Cheshire Community Pool.

Tomorrow, the Steve Horvath Memorial Fishing Derby will take place at Mixville Park, followed by Muck Run on Wednesday, also at Mixville.
