Coca Cola Christmas 2018 truck dates and locations revealed

The Coca Cola Christmas truck tour dates and locations for 2018 have been revealed and there will be two stops in our region. You know it’s Christmas when you see the iconic advert on the telly and now the trucks are coming to the North East to spread some festive magic. And you won’t have long to wait.

Now in its eighth year, the tour will kick off in Glasgow on November 9 – visiting towns and cities nationwide during the festive season – before making its final stop in London on December 16.

Bringing festive magic to people across the UK ahead of the big day, the famous truck tour truly signifies the start of Christmas. At each stop, fans can take festive selfies next to the vehicle from the annual ads.

They will also be able to enjoy a 150ml can of Coca Cola Zero Sugar, Diet Coke or Coca Cola Classic in a ‘winter wonderland’ setting. North East fans of the fizzy drink and festive advert will have three chances to see the truck on its tour.

You will be able to see the truck in Newcastle at the Kingston Park Tesco on Wednesday, November 14. It will then be appearing at Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth on Thursday November 15 and Friday November 16. Over the last seven years, the truck has travelled more than 730,000 miles – the equivalent of 29 times around the world.

Featuring a whopping 8,772 fairy lights and playing the ‘Holidays are Coming’ jingle, it attracts fans from across the country.

This year, as well as celebrating the magic that the Coca-Cola truck brings to Christmas – each truck tour stop will also encourage consumers to recycle their bottles and cans, in line with Coca Cola’s World Without Waste goal – a global pledge to collect and recycle a bottle or can for each one sold by the year 2030.

The famous ‘Holidays Are Coming’ advert will also return to our TV screens shortly, 23 years since first being aired.
