Forklift truck driver caught hiding heroin up his bottom

Police caught a father with GBP200 worth of heroin up his backside in Gloucester. Akiel Jacobs, 25, was stopped by officers while driving in the city at about 8pm on May 10. Prosecutor Rebecca Sutherland said: “He was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of heroin.

“During a strip-search at the police station, it was found he was hiding drugs up his anus. He was asked to pull it out.”

“He was turning to drugs at that stage but it just made things worse. He appreciates that now.

Jacobs lives with his partner, who is pregnant, and their 10-month-old son.

Chair of the magistrates Natalie Hunt ordered him to pay GBP315 to the court.
