Man arrested after rental truck left outside men's shelter

A man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after a rental truck was left abandoned on the front yard of the men’s mission on York Street.

(JONATHAN JUHA, The London Free Press) A man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after a rental truck was left abandoned on the front yard of the men’s mission on York Street. London police say they were contacted Sunday morning about the vehicle and were able to locate the driver, who was then taken into custody.

As of Sunday afternoon, the man had not been charged pending the results of impairment by drug tests, police said.

Though the truck had some damage, police said the vehicle didn’t crash into the Mission Services’ building.
