This shocking video is quickly going viral – and it’s not hard to see why. It centres on an issue we can all relate to – parking spaces at supermarkets. And it goes to show just how heated the matter can become.

The incident centres around a Tesco superstore car park and the specially designated parking spaces for families, which are closer to the store.

And this is what happened when one outraged dad decided to confront a couple who had parked in a family parking space despite not having any children. The footage, which was uploaded to Facebook by popular page Idiot UK Drivers Exposed, shows a man deliberately blocking in the couple as he angrily confronts them for using the space.

The couple were angry at being blocked in

Unfortunately, the confrontation descended into violence as punches are thrown and foul language used, reports Cambridgeshire Live . It appears the man, Mr Barrett, filmed the incident himself.

Mr Barrett was blocking the couple in the parking space, saying he would only move if the couple apologised for parking in the wrong place.

He said: “I’ve got kids and I’m fed up of you [expletive] taking up all the spaces right next to the store.” The driver of the blocked car, however, did not take kindly to Mr Barrett swearing at him, saying: “If you swear at me how would you like them glasses splattered all over your face [sic]”.

He then calls Mr Barrett “a p****” several times and threatens to drive the tow bar of his large pickup truck into the side of Mr Barrett’s car. Things only heated up when the blocked driver’s wife joined in, threatening to call the police if Mr Barrett didn’t move out of the way.

Words were exchanged between the woman and Mr Barrett, which resulted in the blocked driver trying to punch Barrett through his car window.

A real fight could have surely ensued had the driver not been held back by his wife, who you can see in the video grabbing her husband by the collar and forcing him away.

The couple and Mr Barrett continue to exchange heated words and argue whether or not the unknown woman was told to “p*** off” or just “to p*** off out of the space.”

Finally, a Tesco security employee at the store in Ely, comes to break the argument up, with the tension practically evaporating instantly.
