Lorry that caught fire on the A14 full of BRAS

Cambridgeshire roads descended into chaos this morning (January 11) after a lorry caught fire on the A14. A recent picture tweeted by fire services has revealed the lorry is full of bras. In a picture tweeted by Suffolk Fire and Rescue, it is clear to see boxes of ladies’ underwear being rescued from the burning vehicle and spilling onto the A-road.

More than 20 firefighters and other emergency services are working to tackle the blaze, near Fenstanton, which has been burning for more than two hours. Cambs police were called at 10.14am this morning (January 11) to reports of a truck on fire on the A14 westbound between Swavesey and Fenstanton.

Drivers are being warned to expect extreme delays on the A14 this afternoon (January 11) following the lorry fire. Traffic is being diverted via the A428 westbound.
