It might feel like the bleak mid-winter, but it’s never to early to start planning some summer musical festival jaunts. And Truck Festival – described as “the Godfather of the small festival scene” – and held in Hill Farm in Oxfordshire, has just announced its line up for this year’s exciting event, which takes place on 26 to 28 July.

The first wave of artists have just been revealed and they’re looking to some home-grown talent to headline with the addition of Foals.

Foals have returned from a two-year hiatus with their new two-part album, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, the first half which is due for release in March, and their Truck appearance will form part of their world tour, which also starts in March. It will be a homecoming show of sorts for the band, who last played the fest 12 years ago when they had just started out, on the Barn Stage. Wolf Alice

Their last album, Visions of a Life, was critically acclaimed, with the NME giving it five stars, saying: “with Visions of a Life Wolf Alice are removing any doubt about their status in the UK music scene.
