Driver dies and two people taken to hospital following three-vehicle crash on A354

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver died in a multi-vehicle crash. After 3pm yesterday (Friday, March 8), three vehicles were involved in a collision on the A354[1] between Coombe Bissett and Salisbury. A driver of one of the cars, an 81-year-old woman, died at the scene.

Two other people involved in the crash were taken to Salisbury District Hospital[2] as a precaution while a fourth person was uninjured. A spokesman for Wiltshire Police has issued the following statement: “We’re appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash near Coombe Bissett.

“The incident took place just after 3pm yesterday (8/3) on the A354 and involved two cars and a lorry. “Sadly, a driver of one of the cars, an 81-year-old woman, died at the scene.

“Her family has been informed and a specially trained family liaison officer is supporting them at this time. “Two other people involved in the collision where taken to Salisbury District Hospital as a precaution and a fourth person was uninjured. “The vehicles involved in the collision were a white Isuzu Truck, a blue Volkswagon Caddy and a silver Vauxhall Agila.
