Two Texas children reportedly held against their will by truck driver found in Arizona

Marshall Pendergrass, 47, of Jacksonville, Fla. was taken into custody and faces federal charges. He is accused of holding the 12-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl against their will, according to police in Winslow, Ariz. The siblings, who are not related to Pendergrass, were reported missing Friday from Belton, just outside of Temple.

They were found in the sleeper cab of a semi-truck in the 400 block of Transcon Lane in Winslow, Ariz., about an hour east of Flagstaff, police said. They were turned over to the Arizona Department of Child Services and are in good physical condition, police said. The children were initially reported as runaways, but “with the diligence and perseverance of our night shift we learned otherwise and were able to locate them and bring them home before an alert could be issued,” Belton police said in a Facebook post.

The FBI and Winslow Police Department are investigating the case.
