Dead pigs spill out of lorry closing Doddington Road

Dead pigs were seen spilling out of the back of a lorry on Doddington Road on Wednesday morning, as the road remains closed between Newark and Tritton Road. Warning: This report contains images some viewers may find disturbing. Lincolnshire Police is warning that the area will be “closed for some time” while the road is cleaned up.

Dead pigs spill out of lorry closing Doddington Road

Dead pigs were seen flowing from the back of the lorry.

Shocking photos from the scene showed how several dead pigs were covered in mud and hanging off the side of the lorry or in the road. The driver of the lorry told an eyewitness that he spilled the load after he was forced to perform an emergency stop. It’s believed the dead pigs were being taken to a disposal facility.

Officers are dealing with a lorry that has lost its load between Tritton road and Newark road end of doddington road in lincoln, the roads will be closed for sometime whilst this is cleaned up, please avoid.
