Motorcyclist, 21, in hospital after collision with tipper truck – The Northern Echo

A MOTORCYCLIST is being treated in hospital after he was involved in a collision with a tipper truck.

Cleveland Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which involved a Honda motorcycle and a Mercedes Tipper truck on Yearby Bank, Redcar.

The incident happened at around 3.45pm on Monday (July 29).

The 21-year-old male rider of the motorbike suffered spinal injuries and a fractured pelvis and was taken to James Cook University Hospital.

He remains there whilst receiving treatment.

Any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage of the collision is asked to contact PC Martin McArdle from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 129070.
