Stranger Things themed ice cream van coming to Cambridge this weekend

Stranger Things fans will be thrilled to hear a recreation of the iconic ice cream parlour from the beloved show will visit Cambridge this weekend. Netflix has turned Scoops Ahoy into an upside down 1985-themed ice cream van. The retro van, which is touring across the UK and Ireland for 15 days, is visiting 11 “Hawkins Roads”.

Cambridge is lucky enough to have such a road so the van will roll up around 2pm to 3pm on Sunday, July 14. Hawkins Road, Cambridge, is off Campkin Road and Kings Hedges Road.

You’ll be transported back to the 1980s in the USA

The best part is the ice cream is free to all those who live there! The van, complete with eerie Stranger Things melodic chimes inspired by the soundtrack, features two sides – a 1980s ice-cream parlour in pastel pinks, blues and whites, and a dark side straight out of the famous Stranger Things ‘upside-down’ world.

The show is so popular that season 3, which was just released, broke the Netflix streaming record.
